Scientific name:
Crocodylus cataphractus
Identification:
Up to 3 metres. A big crocodile with long slender snout.
Habitat:
Found only in lake Tanganyika for East Africa.
Behaviour:
Secretive and shy, daytime in secluded spots. A fast and agile swimmer.
Food:
They eat mostly fish, also swimming birds, reptiles and amphibians.
Reproduction:
They lays clutches of 12 to 30 eggs.
